Our hams are coming in on our Dec 10th truckload, so will be available for deliveries Dec 11th and later or for pick up on Dec 12th or Dec 19th. Our Pork is Naturally raised outdoors on pasture. We use no hormones or antibiotics and use all Non-GMO feed. The Ham is Hickory smoked for tremendous flavor! They are not considered fully cooked, so need to get up to 140 degrees before eating. These are not like the store bought hams that have a lot of water solution pumped into them, which are consider metropolitan hams. For best results they need to be cooked in a covered environment, so either crock pot, dutch oven or roast pan with lid. I’m sure an insta-pot would work as well. We recommend cooking in a crock pot on high for 6 hours, or you could go longer on low. Probably a little longer if you’re doing a larger ham, and I shoot for 200 degree internal temp. This keeps them very moist and the meat will fall apart beautifully! We typically just do a thin layer of brown sugar on the bottom of the crock pot and you can add a little additional on the outside of the ham, or add some pineapple over the top. With the crock pot you end up with a more pulled pork style product that is moist and incredible flavor!
